Grad Application Deadline for Spring/May 2013

WHEN: October 1, 2012 (official deadline)*

WHAT: If your name is not on the list of Graduation Candidates for May 2013, it could be that we're still awaiting your application. If so, please contact the Student Records Office as soon as possible.

Deadline for Cap & Gown Measurement - All Ceremonies

WHEN: April 5, 2013, by 4:00pm (Friday)

WHAT: Deadline for cap and gown measurement for students in all commencement ceremonies.

Deadline for Commencement Participation Exception

WHEN: April 12, 2013 (Friday)

WHAT: Deadline for letter addressed to the Registrar (Mr. Jay Flynn) documenting the reason you would like to be excused from the May Commencement ceremony.

Cap & Gown Pickup - Divinity Students

WHEN: May 6 and 8, 2013 (Monday & Wednesday)
WHERE: Samford Bookstore
WHAT: Deadline to pickup caps and gowns for Divinity Commencement.

Cap & Gown Pickup - All Other Students

WHEN: May 15 (10:00am to 6:00pm), May 16 (10:00am to 5:00pm), and May 17 (10:00am to 5:00pm) (Wednesday thru Friday)

WHAT: Deadline to pickup caps and gowns for all other commencement ceremonies.

Graduation Prayer Breakfast

WHEN: May 17 (8:00am) (Friday)
WHERE: University Cafeteria
WHAT: Prayer breakfast for faculty and all graduation candidates.

Commencement Ceremony - Divinity Students

WHEN: May 8, 2013, 11:00am (Wednesday)
WHERE: Andrew Gerow Hodges Chapel
WHAT: Commencement/consecration service should last approximately 1 and 1/2 hours (until 12:30). Procession details TBA.

Commencement Ceremony - Law Students

WHEN: May 17, 2013, at 6:00pm (Friday)
WHERE: Wright Center
WHAT: Beginning at 5:20pm, Law Students should assemble in the Brock Recital Hall--in cap and gown--in preparation for the procession. Check with the Law School for further instructions.

Commencement Ceremony - All Other Students

WHEN: May 18, 2013, at 10:00am (Saturday)
WHERE: Pete Hanna Center
WHAT: Graduation candidates (from the College of Arts & Sciences, School of the Arts, and School of Education) should report at 9:00am to the concession booth on the second floor of the Pete Hanna Center to pick up their name cards. Students will then line up in the corridors on the first floor for academic procession into the Corts Arena. The Commencement ceremony begins at 10:00am. Commencement should last approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
