WMU's Wanda Lee to Present Fowler Lecture at Samford April 5
Dr. Wanda Lee, executive director of Woman's Missionary Union, will speak as this year's Marie NeSmith Fowler lecturer at Samford University Thursday, April 5.
Dr. Lee will speak following an 11:30 a.m. luncheon in the Flag Colonnade Room of Samford's Beeson University Center.
Basing her comments on her latest book, Live the Call, she will share stories and lessons about women's faith, leadership, missional living and "multiple concurrent identities."
Dr. Lee, a graduate of Samford's Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing, is a registered nurse, wife, mother, grandmother and former missionary. She was named Samford's outstanding alumna in 2005.
The Fowler Lecture in Christianity, Women and Leadership Studies honors Samford pharmacy alumna Marie NeSmith Fowler of Hartselle. It supports the Christian Women's Leadership Center's mission to provide learning opportunities for women to realize the fullest measure of their gifts in all areas of human endeavor.
