Samford Students Plan Forum on Diversity

The Samford University Black Students Organization (BS0) will hold a Diversity Forum Monday (FEB. 19) at 7:30 p.m. in Dwight Beeson Hall auditorium. The public is invited free of charge.

Dr. Jo M. Dohoney, Samford sociology professor who teaches courses in the sociology of race and ethnicity, will lecture on the topic of diversity. She will also lead the audience in a discussion of the importance of diversity and how to achieve it.

Other events planned by Samford BSO for Black History Month include a dramatic presentation by actress Maxine Maxwell on Feb. 28 at 9 p.m. in Wright Center Recital Hall. She will give dramatic portrayals of influential African-American women throughout history.

Danielle Pinkston, a senior psychology major from Chicago, Ill., is president of Samford BSO.
