Samford Offers Music Camps For Children, Teens

Samford University will offer music camps for a variety of ages in July.

Adventures in Music camp for students in grades one through 12 will be held July 12-16, 8 a.m-5 p.m. daily. The schedule includes classes in music theory, piano or voice, and ensemble. Guest artists will perform. The $305 registration fee includes lunch each day and tee shirt. Activities include swim time in Samford’s Seibert Hall pool. Students may perform in concert on the final day of camp. Registration deadline is July 6.

All Aboard for Music Camp for children age three through six who have not entered first grade will be held July 19-23, 9- ll:30 a.m. daily. Campers will learn introduction to music concepts and rhythmic foundations. Guest artists will perform. Students may perform at a closing program on the final day of camp. The $180 fee includes crafts, snacks and tee shirts. Registration deadline is July 14.

The camps are sponsored by the Preparatory Department of Samford’s School of Performing Arts.
