Samford Enrolls 4,416, Has Increase in Full-time Students
Samford University enrolled 4,416 students for the fall semester of 2004, according to the University's Office of Institutional Research. The enrollment includes students from 44 states and foreign students from 31 nations.
Samford's full-time enrollment increased to 3,953 students from last year's 3,894. Total enrollment is down slightly from last year's 4,440 students.
The retention rate for Samford freshmen from last year is 84 percent.
Samford has been Alabama's largest private university or college for more than 50 years.
