Emily Morris is Samford Homecoming Queen

Emily Morris of Memphis, Tenn., was crowned Homecoming Queen at Samford University Saturday, Oct. 29.

Morris, a senior sports medicine and pre-medicine major, was elected by vote of the student body.  She was crowned during halftime ceremonies at Samford's Homecoming football game against Tennessee State University.

Morris is the goalkeeper for the Samford women's soccer team, which recently won its third consecutive regular season Ohio Valley Conference championship. She is a Samford Ambassador and a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.

The daughter of Cindy and Mark Morris, she is a graduate of Briarcrest Christian High School, Cordova, Tenn.
