Samford Adds Three New Trustees

Three new members joined Samford University’s board of trustees Dec. 1.

Thomas T. Lamberth is president and chief operating officer for Russell Lands, Inc., in Alexander City, Ala. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Alexander City and has degrees from both Auburn University and the University of Alabama. His wife is Beth.

Timothy Vines is senior vice president of business operations for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, based in Birmingham. He and his wife, Toni, are members of Shades Mountain Baptist Church, Vestavia Hills. Vines has a finance degree from Auburn University.

Rhonda C. Witcher is office administrator for Total Pain Solutions Pharmacy in Cullman, Ala., where she is a member of First Baptist Church. Her son, Adam, is a 2010 Samford graduate, and her daughter, Sara Beth, is a Samford junior. Her husband, Brian, is a 1986 Samford graduate.

They replaced three whose terms expired: Gerald Anderson II, a dentist from Selma, Ala.; Wynema Lowery, a businesswoman and community leader from Cullman; and Dale Splawn, an accountant in Birmingham.

Two returned to the board after serving previously: John E. Bell Jr., a consultant with Oil Equipment, Inc., in Birmingham, and C. Thomas Houser, president of S3, Inc., Huntsville, Ala.
