A team from Randolph School in Huntsville won the state finals of the Alabama Science Olympiad at Samford University Saturday, March 29.
Fifteen teams from schools across the state competed in 23 events, representing biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, computers and technology.
Second place honors went to an Auburn High School team. A team from Grissom High School, Huntsville, finished third.
The Randolph team will represent the state at the national competition, to be held at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., May 30-31.
