Samford has partnered with Google to provide email and collaboration services via Google Apps for Education. By partnering with Google, alumni with Samford E-mail accounts now have a much larger storage capacity for email (7.4 gb). Other new features include calendaring, contacts, instant messaging and website creation. E-mail addresses will not change. 

Starting Sunday, May 23, alumni E-mail accounts will begin to have a different look, but users don't have to do anything more than enjoy the new features.

Old E-mail will be automatically moved to the new accounts. Due to the large number of accounts involved, it may take a few days for all existing E-mail to be available in the new system. Until the transfer is complete, old E-mail can still be viewed by going to email.samford.edu. Once all old E-mail has been transferred to Bulldogmail (Gmail), there is no need to login to the old accounts.

The URL to access the Bulldogmail accounts will be http://bulldogmail.samford.edu.  Those who have been accessing their E-mail through the Samford Portal can still do so but must click the “Bulldogmail” icon.
