Hala Moddelmog, president of Church's Chicken, will lecture at Samford University Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m. in Brock Forum, Dwight Beeson Hall. The public is invited free of charge.

Moddelmog will discuss her philosophy and approach to business, including her own experience and success in breaking through the "glass ceiling." She joined Church's Chicken as vice president of marketing in 1993, and was named president in 1996. Her talk is the first in Samford's Beta Gamma Sigma Distinguished Lecturer series. Chapters of the national business honor society are limited to schools of business that are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Samford business dean Dr. Carl Gooding serves on the Board of Governors of the national BGS body.
