A new Missional Living series at Samford University begins Saturday, Oct. 18, with a day-long seminar, “What is a Worldview? Do I have One?”, led by Andrea Mullins, director of leadership development for Woman’s Missionary Union. Mullins is the author of Extraordinary Living: What Happens When God Works Through You.
This journey of self-discovery will reveal the attitudes and assumptions that form a person’s worldview, and explore how worldview affects involvement in God’s mission.
The seminar will be held in the University Center Annex, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration is $79, and includes lunch. CEUs are available. For information and registration, call the Samford After Sundown office at 726-2898.
The Missional Living series is sponsored by Samford’s Christian Women’s Leadership Center, the Woman’s Missionary Union and Samford After Sundown community course program.
The series is designed for men and women who want to reach the community and world with the gospel of Jesus Christ by developing knowledge, attitudes and practices that lead to a life of spiritual growth, intercession and ministry. It recognizes the lifelong journey of Christ-followers who seek to participate more fully in God’s mission through loving service, testimony and ministry to others that can transform individual lives and the world.
More seminars will be held throughout the fall and spring. Future topics and dates are: Spiritual Disciplines for a Missional Lifestyle, Nov. 22; Unveiled: God’s Heart for People, Jan. 17; Building Cross-Cultural Relationships, Feb. 7; Leadership Skills of Missional Leaders, March 13; Inspirational Leadership, March 27; Missional Ministries Specialization, April 3; and Communication Skills of Missional Leaders, May 15.
