For the second time in less than one month, the Samford University community is mourning the death of a current student.

Senior Caroline Neisler died May 15, just weeks after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She had been a member of the Samford volleyball team.

A memorial service is set for 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, in Samford's Reid Chapel. Funeral services are set for Sunday, May 19, in Neisler's hometown of Jacksonville, Ala.

"We know you will join us in praying for their entire family in the time of grief, as well as the volleyball team and coaches," said R. Phil Kimrey, Samford's vice president for student affairs and enrollment management.
