Mark A. Ticola, M.D.
Mark A. Ticola serves as physician at Samford’s University Health Services. He previously served as clinical assistant professor/internal medicine staff physician at the University of Florida College of Medicine’s Department of Community Health and Family Medicine, Old Town, Fla., during 2008–2011. Prior to that, he was senior physician at the Dixie County Health Department, Cross City, Fla., during 2007–2008. Dr. Ticola completed combined training in the University of Alabama’s Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency Program in 2007. He holds the doctor of medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, and a bachelor of science in microbiology and cell science from the University of Florida. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Lexie England is the practice manager for University Health Services. Lexie is originally from Mississippi and earned the Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi. She has been with Health Services since July 2013. Prior to working with St. Vincent's Health System on the Samford campus, Lexie lived in the Jacksonville, Florida area has worked in healthcare management, marketing and human resources for eight years.
Ellen Brewer, MCCT (Multiple Competency Clinical Tech) has been with University Health Services since October of 2012. She is from Hayden, Alabama and attended Jefferson State College. Ellen has worked in healthcare for approximately 15 years with experience in the Internal Medicine, Ob/Gyn and Gastroenterology specialties.
Hayley Milstead-Roberts is a MCCT with Health Services. Originally from Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Hayley attended Faulkner State University in Gulf Shores. She has been with University Health Services at Samford since October 2011 and in her role as MCCT since October 2013. Hayley has worked in healthcare for about 15 years and has experience in family practice and surgery offices.
Gina Gobel is the Medical Office Assistant at University Health Services. She is from Lincoln, Alabama, and while she's only been with the clinic since April 2014, she has been in the MOA role with St. Vincent's Health System for over 2 years in Pell City. Prior to that, Gina has worked in healthcare clinics for about 15 years in specialties of Dermatology, Surgery and Family Practice/Internal Medicine.
