Biographical Information

Franklin, an Eagle Scout, was recognized as a future teacher and community leader by McDonald's, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Fayette County Retired Teacher Association, and the Fayette County Board of Education, and he has continued his legacy of leadership at Samford. He is the President of Samford’s chapter of Building Tomorrow, the Chair of the SGA Honor Code Committee, and a member of the Presidential Advisory Council. Additionally, he is active in College Democrats and serves as the Co-Chair of the Fellows Hospitality Committee. Franklin is involved in Omicron Delta Kappa and Phi Alpha Theta honor societies and received first place in the 2014 Colonial Dames’ American Independence Essay Contest. This summer, Franklin competed in Europe with the A Cappella Choir and served as a preceptor for the Great Ideas and Quantitative Finance Summer Institutes.
