Passionate about service and missions, Katie has been on mission trips to Honduras and Ireland. She also led a mission team to Atlanta from her home church. As a result of her travels to Honduras, Katie was inspired to found the non-profit organization, Dyed4Honduras, in which she designs, dyes and bleaches t-shirts, shoes, headbands, and anything else she can get her hands on to sell to benefit the missionaries she worked with in Honduras. Her travels have also fueled her passion for nursing and taking healthcare to unreached areas. Katie is involved in her sorority, Campus Outreach, the Philanthropy Awareness Council, and the Student Recruitment Team. During her freshmen year at Samford, she directed the Freshmen Ladies Step Sing Show, "You Can Stand." This summer, Katie served her second year as a counselor at Camp Highland in the mountains of Ellijay, GA.
