A National AP Scholar, David received the Headmaster’s Award at his high school. At Samford, he’s served as president of the Socratic Club for two years, held a position on the Student Judiciary Committee for one year, and was a Student Marshal for Graduation Freshman year. He is a recipient of the Mabry Lunceford Scholarship for Philosophy, and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society. As a Sophomore, David was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, as well as the Theta Alpha Kappa Honor Society for Religious Studies. After he represented Samford at the Association of Core Texts and Courses Conference in Chicago, his paper entitled 'A Philosophical Journey through Miracles, the Metaphysics, and the Summa Contra Gentiles' was one of three selected for publication in the Agora, a journal of Lynchburg College specializing in student responses to great texts.
