Biographical Information
Shelby, who grew up as a missionary kid in India, has become an active member of the Samford community. Having previously received the Henry Schliemann Award from the classics department, Shelby was also selected as a Howard College Ambassador for her major and as treasurer of Eta Sigma Phi, the classics honors society. Off campus, Shelby volunteers in the Birmingham area, promoting literacy in children under 12 years of age. This summer, in addition to her work in the Samford Library, Shelby worked as an intern coordinator for Christian Life Church.
