Biographical Information

Given Rachael's desire to attend medical school, she has participated in a biology research project, interned at Hospital Corporation of America, and volunteered at Vanderbilt's Children's Hospital and UAB. In addition, she conducted neurobiology research at UAB, studying gene therapies for people with non-functioning rodes and cones in their eyes. She also served as event director for Samford's Relay for Life. When not pursuing her interest in scientific research and service, Rachael pursues her passion for the French language. For the past two summers, Rachael has taught English at a language workshop in France.
