Following her sophomore year at Samford, Ali received a University Fellows Excellence Fund scholarship to serve with a medical team from Experiential Learning International in Iganga, Uganda. While there, she worked in maternity, HIV, pediatric, and surgery wards. Ali's interest in healthcare extends to a passion for fitness and wellness. To that end, she founded the Trailblazers Track Club. She also co-led the Fellows Relay for Life Team, which hosted a Krispy Kreme Challenge run and raised over $1,000 for the American Cancer Society.
