Biographical Information

Ty has been a disciplined scholar athlete since high school, where he served as captain of his baseball team. At Samford, Ty is a shortstop for the Samford Bulldogs baseball team, which won the Southern Conference Tournament and advanced to the NCAA National Tournament last season. When not on the baseball field, Ty volunteers at the Birmingham Children's Hospital and at Birmingham-area elementary schools. This summer, Ty also pursued his love of business by interning with Assurant Solutions, a Fortune 500 company.
