Cultural Transition

In order to give all students the training they need to for a successful transition into American culture, the ELLI provides the following resources to all its students:

 A week-long orientation on campus before classes begin to prepare students for American university life.

Bi-monthly cultural activities designed to introduce students to American culture and the history of Alabama.

On-campus social events for international students.

Individual help from Samford staff with the details of living in the US.

A Friendship Partner Program to pair international students with Americans friends to help with cultural transition.
