In August 2012, the university launched new digital signage around campus. The project was tested in limited locations for several months before being offered university-wide. The signs include campus directories, maps, event listings, campus news headlines and other information. Some signs will be interactive and user-friendly. Academic and administrative units may choose to install digital signs in specific locations at the cost of the unit. While some information on all digital signs on campus will be uniform, academic/administrative unit or building specific, digital signs will allow for some personalization specific to the sign location.
The digital signs are a joint project of operations and planning, technology services and the Office of Marketing and Communication.
